The world's a big place there must have been other options man I loved your book things we never got over. I laughed til I peed my pants!! I hate to tell you this but its the best book I’ve read in 30 years and I’m 78. Please keep writing. Don’t stop!!!!

All I did was over police a woman I was attracted to because I wanted to control her actions at all times. I basically fell in love with her at first sight, which is kind of sketch since I’m 24 and she’s only 16, but I never tried to act on it until everything was legal so nbd. I did promise her we would start a relationship and then fled our hometown instead of talking to her again. Even though she tried to convince me over and over again that she wanted me and wanted my love, I teased her and taunted her for years, but ultimately rejected her completely and repeatedly. I did teach her she was unloveable and really too much to handle through my repeated rejection, but then I got mad at her when she thinks she’s unlovable. Ultimately I decided to marry her best friend to “make her hurt the way I did” and “ruin any chance I had with her” but also now I’m punishing her for not trusting me. The writing, the main characters, - terrible. Selfish. And the whole “oh Remi you are just the most special girl in the world” and the other female characters hated her for being so special and taking all their shine literally made me want to burn the book. Spare me that bs please. Why is the elephant in the room only dealt with at the end of the book and with absolutely no fanfare - I waited the whole book through for the verbal showdown between the h and ow, but no….that encounter was flatter than a pancake. A total anticlimax. 20 minutes into the sweet chat and they’re besties again. I’ll slap that sweet little ass of yours so hard, every man on this island will hear you scream my name and know you belong to me.” I am not sure that I bought that the H felt he was just being used by the h for sex when he knew how long she’d loved him for. And she apologised for making him think it was all just for sex and vowed to work harder. This is after he’d pushed her away for years and had gotten married and divorced to her best friend. He had his reasons but that still made me go wtf to his conclusion that h was in it just for the sex.Had he bothered straightening to his full six feet four inches and looked up from the canned goods, he would have caught that telltale flash of red.
